Our project set-up in Medellín consists of 5 phases (2008-2020):
Phase 1: setting-up a social project with Basketball Training Sessions as the core programme in a minimum of 8 sub-communities of Medellín, reaching a minimum of 400 girls.
Phase 2: implementing social programmes (such as Tutoring regarding school subjects, English lessons and Prevention workshops) and connecting these successfully to the core programme Basketball Training Sessions.
Phase 3: opening an office in the centre of Medellín. Our big future dream is however to buy a piece of land and construct and own basketball court/hall and office on it.
Phase 4: implementing the employment programme “Wafles de Esperanza” for the participating girls in our project (and this way also hopefully to be able to generate funds ourselves for our project with possible profits).
Phase 5: to be operational in all 16 sub-communities of Medellín, reaching 1.000 girls; thereafter expanding to another city in Colombia or another Latin-American country.
